Back by popular demand, “Taste of Quincy” represents the top hot spots in Quincy including The Abbey, Kelly’s and Tower. Food tickets are available for purchase. Homecoming Pep Rally

Pump up your Hawk pride at the Pep Rally! Come see the crowning of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen and join the Hawk Pep Band and cheerleaders as we cheer on our home teams. It will be a great night to be a Hawk!

5K Hawk Walk/Run

Calling all runners (and walkers)! The annual Hawk 5K starts at the Health and Fitness Center and spans Quincy University including Main Campus, QU Stadium and North Campus. $15 entry fee. Preregister by downloading the REGISTRATION FORM and mailing it to the address listed. Mock Trial Tourney
9 a.m. - Round One
1:30 p.m. - Round Two
Adams County Courthouse, 521 Vermont St.
Hosted by Quincy University (Dr. Brian Borlas, QU Mock Trial Coach/Prof. of Political Science) and held at the Adams County Courthouse, round one of the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. and round two around 1:30 p.m. Matches usually last 2 - 2 1/2 hours and will be held in the 8 courtrooms. The event is open to the public and fills-up quickly. Lawyers from the Adams County Bar Association as well as Eighth Judicial Circuit Judges serve as volunteer judges for the two-round tournament of 16 teams. This is a sanctioned American Mock Trial Association (AMTA) invitational tournament.

Estate Planning Seminar

Estate Planning seminar presented by Michael A. Bickhaus of Schmeideskamp, Robertson, Neu and Mitchell and Steve Siebers of Scholz, Loos, Palmer, Siebers and Duesterhaus. The seminar will include: Basic information one needs to make a will; Specific considerations that must be taken into account when establishing a will/where to keep it; Probate process; Benefits of trusts, avoiding unnecessary tax; Benefits of provisions for charity in one’s will.

Relive the college experience while hitting with current and former Hawks. Recognition awards will be given to outstanding former members of the QU tennis teams. The tennis teams will also have a presence at Taste of Quincy on Friday night.

We’re taking Hawk Pride to the streets! Cheer alongside QU’s clubs, organizations, athletic teams, dance team and Pep Band as they lead the way down 20th street to the QU Stadium as the Hawks take on St. Ambrose.
"Hawks in the House" Tailgate Party

The place to be before the football game! Catch up with old friends and make new ones at the official Tailgate Party. The Mart Heinen Booster Club will sell food and beverages with all proceeds going to QU athletic programs.

Gray Gallery Art Exhibit
4 pm – 5:30 pm, Brenner Library’s Gray Gallery
In recognition of the University’s 150th anniversary, the Gray Gallery is hosting an Alumni Invitational. Graduates from the years since the art program was founded by Fr. Tom Brown, OFM, were invited to submit works for the exhibition, which will be on display at no charge through Nov. 6. A gallery reception honoring the artists will be held 4 – 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 24, and all alumni are invited to attend without charge.

All alumni and special guests are invited to join us as we honor those alumni and friends who help to promote the University. Anniversary classes of 1959 (and prior), 1964, 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, 2004 will be recognized with special recognition of the Bonaventure Scholars in each class. We’ll present the Alumnus of the Year award to Andrew and Eileen Orlet and Family as well as the Doug Helein Humanitarian Award. We will also host a special honoring of all QU Hall of Fame Award winners.
