Information on House Situation
Brothers,
Today I had a meeting with our Greek Advisor, Crystal Sutter, and she has informed me that our Shelter House is deemed unsafe to live in. The head of maintenence informed her that the floors near the stairs going into the basement and the slant in the floor of the Brotherhood Lounge would need to be raised on jacks to keep them safe. If QU has enough money they will be adding our House to the list to be torn down over the summer of 2010. Now I don't know if they are doing this to save money over repairs or if it really is unsafe.
The school is offering two new potential house to be our new Shelter House. The corner house on Senior Row, the one closet to 20th St, the old Alpha Delta Gamma house to you older brothers (this would keep us close to the other Greek houses) or 915 N. 18th St., it is the blue house across from the brick houses. The blue house is the bigger of the two I believe.
In regards to the murals and class projects. It was recommended that we take photos of them to transfer to the new house or we blow them up and frame them. If some of the murals could be cut from the wall, we could frame those and keep a little bit of the old house with us.
For the members that will be here next year, you can take a straw pole and we can suggest which house we want and the QU administration will take that into consideration.
If you have any questions, please let me know so I can bring them up with Crystal at our next meeting.
Fraternally,
Mark Webb

Elections Nearing!
After nominations this previous Sunday the chapter will hold its annual elections this upcoming Sunday. The elections results are to come soon after Sunday's chapter.
Welcoming the Upsilon Class
The chapter is proud to announce the addition of three new men to our fraternity who we feel will be able to make huge contributions to the chapter for the next three to four years. The oldest member of the group initiated was Sophomore Luke Weaver. Luke has a very active role around campus including being the current SPB president. Also initiated were freshmen John Piontek and Manuel Yu.
